• Next Meeting is Mon., Sept. 14th at 6:30pm. All meetings are now scheduled for the second Mon. of the month, as that was very successful during the summer.
• Soundbooth Volunteers: The Deacons are looking for people to run the sound system. The requirements are attending a training, arriving on your assigned Sunday no later than 10 AM, and keeping settings that are professionally set. While this is a volunteer position, it is imperative that you attend on time on the Sunday to which you are assigned. If you are interested, please see Pastor Ed, contact the office, or tell a deacon member that you would like more information
• Thank You for all the school supplies! If you haven’t seen it, please check out Rex Veneman’s heartfelt thank you note in cursive on the bulletin board! We touched lots of lives with Blessings of the Backpacks Sunday. It warms our hearts to see how generous you all are when asked for supplies.
• Come Gather Sunday is Sept. 13: Choirs and Sunday School will start and Bible Study continues. Ice Cream Social at Coffee Service hosted by the Deacons will take place. This is a fun way to renew your commitment to First Congregational Church for the fall. Please make every effort to attend!
• FCCoG is hosting the Congregational Churches of Greater Michigan Meeting on Oct. 16 and 17. We are amid planning this event. There will be sign-ups available for food, snacks, and drinks. If you would like to help with those, please see Fran Gibbs. A BIG THANK YOU TO WF for providing lunch on the 17th. If you would like to make a crockpot of soup or sandwiches or dessert for this day, see Chris Hubbard of WF.
